Resting near a retired vineyard in Sonoma, California, this house over looks its old domain. Now that the vineyard is no longer producing fruit, the home has been abandoned. The weathered walls are slowly sinking into the rich Southern California soil, joining the roots of the neighboring grape vines. The windows watch the quiet change of seasons, waiting for the vineyard to be replanted and the house to be needed again to create a home for the farm workers. This photograph is a lovely tribute to the labor this house has given.
